The Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ), a leading training institution for professional journalism, is inviting applications for the January 2025 intake from both practicing and aspiring journalists into its full time and weekend journalism programmes.

- Certificate in Journalism
Applicants should be holders of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), with at least four credits, including English.
- Diploma in Journalism
Applicants should be holders of a Certificate in Journalism or its equivalent or any related higher qualification from a recognized institution.
Applicants with a tertiary qualification must also provide a proof of their journalism work, such as an article in a publication and a recorded TV or radio program.
- Bachelor of Arts in Journalism
Applicants into the degree programme must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with a minimum of six credits, including English and at least a pass in Mathematics, to start in Year 1.
Those with a Diploma in Journalism or related qualification from a recognised institution with a minimum of two years of work experience in relevant field and MSCE with a minimum of four credits, including English, to start in Year 2.
