Work with us. Learn with us. Improve with us. The Malawi Institute of Journalism was established in 1995 to train students into professional journalists as one way of consolidating the democratic dispensation ushered in by the multi-party politics in 1994.

MIJ has more than 20 years of journalism training experience. It specializes in capacity building of aspiring and practicing journalists in various aspects of reporting and broadcasting. The Malawi Institute of Journalism has centers in all the three regions in Malawi with a considerable number of students in each center. Its reach of aspiring and trained journalist is nationwide.
