The Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) would like to alert the general public that some tricksters have replaced MIJ’s contact details on the student recruitment advert with their mobile phone numbers with the aim of swindling money from prospective students and guardians.
Please note that the fake phone numbers are:

We would like to remind the general public that MIJ does not have Mpamba or Airtel Money Accounts and does not deal with any individual or mobile money agent. Additionally, MIJ conducts all its transactions through its National Bank of Malawi accounts only, under the name of the Malawi Institute of Journalism, and does not accept cash payments.
Therefore, MIJ will not be liable for any transactions made through Mpamba, Airtel Money, or any individual.
