THE MALAWI INSTITUTE OF JOURNALISM
STUDENTS RECRUITMENT
The Malawi Institute of Journalism, a leading training institution for
professional journalism, is inviting applications from both practicing and
aspiring journalists into its full time and weekend Journalism programmes for
March 2022 semester.
Minimum entry requirements
a) Certificate in Journalism programme
Applicants should be holders of a Malawi School Certificate of Education
(MSCE), with at least four credits including English. Candidates with at least two credits are also eligible to apply but will have to undergo a bridging course before entry into the programme.
b) Bachelor of Arts in Journalism programme.
i) Generic-4 years
Applicants should be holders of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with a minimum of six credits including English and Mathematics.
ii) Mature Entry-3 years
Applicants should be holders of a Diploma in Journalism or any relevant
qualification from a recognised institution with a minimum of two years of
work experience in the relevant field.
Mode of Application
Fill an application form with a non-refundable application fee of K10,000.00 and attach copies of educational qualifications and an academic transcript from a recognised academic institution.
