    Admission Requirements

    Bachelor of Arts in Journalism

    • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with a minimum of six credit passes in the best six subjects including English and at least a pass in Mathematics to start in Year 1.
    • Diploma in Journalism or related qualification from a recognised Institution with a minimum of two years of work experience in relevant field and MSCE with four credit passes including English to start in Year 2.

    Diploma in Journalism

    • Certificate in journalism or its equivalent or any related higher qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Those with an equivalent tertiary qualification must provide a proof of their journalism work such as an article in a publication or a recorded TV/ Radio program.

    Certificate in Journalism

    • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), with at least four credits including English and should have an interest in current affairs and passion for writing.
    • Candidates with at least two credits are also eligible to apply but will have to undergo a bridging course before entry into the programme.

    Tuition Fees

    The tuition fees for Bachelors of Arts Degree is MK460, 000 per semester payable as follows:

    • 50% on the day of registration
    • 25% end of second month of the semester
    • 25% end of third month of the semester

    The tuition fees for Diploma and Certificate programs is MK345, 000 per semester payable as follows:

    • 50% on the day of registration
    • 25% end of second month of the semester
    • 25% end of third month of the semester
